The Gloomy Girl Aesthetic Is the Chic Way to Decorate This Halloween

Hate them or love them, TikTok trends are ubiquitous these days. And while many of them originate as fashion trends, almost all of these aesthetics can be transmuted into design motifs. Just think about: Coastal Grandmother, Cottagecore, and Tomato Girl – all make sense in the world of interior design. And the latest vibe to arrive in the TikToksphere? Gloomy Girl, of course – and just in time for Halloween season.

If you’re not acquainted with Gloomy Girl, it’s best to think of it as a mashup of Wednesday Addams and Virgin Suicides. Slightly melancholic, a bit nostalgic, and extremely moody. While the Gloomy Girl aesthetic has goth tendencies, it’s on the sweeter side. From a noir colour palette to antique artwork, continue below to see how you can decorate your home accordingly this Halloween season (and beyond, should the vibe strike a chord).

1. Switch to noir bedding
