You'll Never Need Décor Advice Again If You Follow These 11 Homes On Instagram
Instagram is high on our list of go-to resources for all things home and decor inspiration. With a seemingly endless amount of expertly-curated feeds filled with images that have us regularly dreaming of completing a major reno of our own place, the app is an interiors addict's paradise. There are even accounts dedicated specifically to houses. That's right, imagine having a home that is completely Insta-worthy and deserving of its own page (we'll keep dreaming). On the plus side, it gives us design nerds some serious sustenance to continue liking and saving, and the best part? These house accounts are available to be booked for a weekend away or maybe more like a permanent vacation? I can definitely see myself living it up in these thirteen incredible homes. For now, I'll keep scrolling.
1. The Joshua Tree House (@thejoshuatreehouse)
Brimming with rugged boulders and rare cacti that'll make any plant lover's heart race, Joshua Tree is a Southern Californian destination that's firmly planted at the top of our bucket list. Sarah and Rich Combs own The Joshua Tree House, possibly the most instagrammable residence we've ever seen. Fit with tan leather sofas and tones of ochre and clay, this house serves as a calm retreat to perfectly match the sparse and wild landscape in which it sits. Follow for unmatched sunsets, weird and wonderful plants and of course, interiors galore.
2. Casa Campana (@casa__campana)
The newly completed Casa Campana is a dreamy Mediterannean-inspired farmhouse that belongs to creative genius Sophie Bell (aka Peppa Hart). After collaborating with the ladies from the property flipping powerhouse Three Birds Renovations, Casa Campana has become the most shared house in my Instagram feed this year and I'm not mad about it. From custom-built archways and rendered walls that transport you to Mykonos, this house has it all. Follow for out of the box interior ideas to recreate a peach-hued sanctuary at home.
3. Salt at Shoal Bay (@saltatshoalbay)
Situated within 2.5 hours of Sydney, Shoal Bay is a quintessential beachside town where sand in your shoes is a daily predicament. Relaxed and vibrant at the same time, it's the perfect place for a little weekender to recharge. And there's no better place to do that than in the luxurious and downright stylish abode aptly named Salt. With a split-level house and cottage on the premises (all clad in timber panelling of course), this house has been utilised for many brand campaigns, workshops and wedding celebrations. With water views that will soothe your soul and interiors that invite you to get comfy, Salt is a must-follow. Seriously, do it now.
4. The Apartment St Kilda (@the_apartment_stkilda)
Whether you're enjoying a dip at the iconic sea baths or savouring an exquisite meal at Stokehouse, St Kilda is a destination to excite the senses. Tucked in a 1920s art deco apartment, The Apartment has been touched by the expert hands of stylist Lyda Gardener who has breathed life and personality into this cosy inner-city gem. One-off antiques mingle with soft linen bedding and oil paintings to give a distinct charm that's evident even through the lens of an iPhone.
5. House on Court (@houseoncourt)
Perfectly fitting in to its historic surroundings, House on Court is a home that's oozing with character. An ideal place to bunk down while exploring the abundant countryside that's brimming with Australia's best wineries, House on Court's Instagram page is masterfully curated with snippets of beautiful vignettes that appear throughout the original home. Warm wooden furniture, lush native arrangements and sumptuous textiles are just a few of the reasons you should follow along on Instagram.
6. Soul of Gerringong (@soulofgerringong)
Happily placed along the picturesque south coast of NSW, Soul of Gerringong is a series of instagrammable corners and rooms that make us rethink our home decorating on the regular. Beautiful one day, perfect the next. It's the tagline for Queensland that has maintained its relevance decades on due to what seems like an endless amount of sunny days and a laidback way of life. Durham House in the West End is a stunning gem that's a blend of old Queensland architecture and bold new interiors. With an overarching black and white theme, there's no doubt those who get to spend time here are in a constant state of relaxation. Add this house to your follow list stat.
8. Cliff House (@cliffhousemollymook)
As oceanfront as it gets, Cliff House's Instagram account is what our dreams are made of. From that image to eclectic snapshots of coral and other foraged finds, this South Coast pad is perfectly perched to take in panoramas of the azure sea below. *We don't take responsibility for any loss in productivity as a result of scrolling through this otherworldly Insta account.
9. Le Riad Yasmine
Marrakech and all of its intense beauty is a destination that we're aching to visit. Having become somewhat of a trendy travel spot, we've been blessed with images from our fellow Instagrammers of highly decorative riads and markets that are bursting with rich colour and patterns. A riad refers to a traditional Moroccan house, with many in the area being converted into luxurious places to stay for discerning travellers. Le Riad Yasmine is one of our favourites, with a central pool and courtyard featuring luscious tiles in emerald tones that looks like the perfect place to lounge. Throw in huge terracotta pots and burnt orange homewares, and this account will inspire you to book your next getaway.
10. Warrington House (@thewarringtonhouse)
Warrington House is a recent Insta find of ours, and boy have we been obsessed since! Set atop a gorgeous mountain in Santa Rosa, California, this timber-clad house is like stepping back in time a few decades. Giving off super comfy vibes that would be the ideal setting for a long bath or movie night, Warrington House's Instagram account is something magical. We're sure you'll agree.
11. El Rancho (@elranchojoshuatree)
Like a minimalist haven that juts out of the Californian desert, El Rancho is a more pared-back take on desert chic. Timber furniture in light tones complement the sleek concrete floors and crisp white walls that let you take in the vast expanse of grasses, sand and of course, Joshua trees. With exposed copper pipes and hanging plants added into the mix, El Rancho is a pure paradise where you could get lost in your own thoughts for days, weeks or like owners Jeffrey and Candida, an eternity.
